Description

Maple Hill Tree Services is looking for a full-time consulting arborist with at least 5 years of practical experience who shares a passion for preserving and caring for trees. Applicants must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently. This position requires efficiency within a fast-paced environment and the application of sound judgement based on extensive previous experience.



Qualifications

Support the business development and growth of Maple Hill Tree Services by selling Arboricultural Services to residential and commercial customers by performing the following tasks:

  • Communication is key; you are people focused and have a genuine interest in networking with the local community;
  • Providing consultation and recommendations to customers;
  • Estimating time and cost for crews to perform tree removal, pruning, and all other Maple Hill services;
  • Sharing estimates with the customer ensuring clarity around scope;
  • Creating lasting relationships that lead to repeat business;
  • Proposing additional services to current customers in the territory;
  • Providing plant, pest, and disease identification services as needed;
  • Assisting with other jobs and duties as assigned by the Manager.

  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • Arborist/horticulturist with preferably 5 years of experience in arboriculture
  • TRAQ qualification
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of standard industry practices
  • Excellent sales and communication skills and customer service follow-through
  • Good people skills; self-motivated; computer-savvy and organized
  • Good knowledge of plant physiology and the ability to diagnose and remedy major pests, disease, and tree disorders
  • Minimum Class G driver’s license and clean abstract
  • Organizational and time management skills
