Heritage Tree Care is a highly regarded and thoroughly established, expert tree service based in Toronto’s west end since 2006. We are a progressive and thoughtful company that is set to expand operations throughout the GTA. We are keenly seeking to hire a selection of ACE arbor pros for a great 2019 ahead.

We take a full circle, holistic approach to the study and maintenance of each tree we are asked to investigate as well as an extremely safe and considered approach to every biomechanical challenge we come up against on a daily basis. We specialize in technically complicated pruning and removals in tight downtown locations. So get out of the boring old suburbs and Join us if you like a challenge.

OFFERED POSITIONS:

● Junior climbers/ Groundies = $17.50 – $22.50;
● Arborist/ Climber = $22.50 – $40.00;
● Branch Manager/ crew chief = $27.50 – $40.00;
● Quoter/Estimator = TBD.

Qualifications

Junior climbers:

● Have at least one year of experience working in a tree related industry;
● Have a diploma in arboriculture or are planning to go to college;
● Aspire to be a full-time climber if you are applying for the Junior position;
● Have knowledge of safe working practices within the tree care industry;
● Be a Pro industrial athlete and a super tree nerd – or have a genuine desire to become one;
● Have a serious work ethic, cool demeanor, and keen ambition;
● Adhere to the HTCs company code of ethics and carefully follow the Policies & Procedures Manual and safety protocol;
● Have a clean drivers license.

Arborist/climber:

● Be competent in all tree climbing skills (minimum of two years of climbing experience);
● Have a proficient and safety-conscious approach to performing pruning and tree removals, especially near homes, over roofs, and in locations with some risk of property damage and where advanced rigging techniques are required;
● Have extensive knowledge of pruning and rigging techniques;
● Have strict adherence to safe working practices;
● Be reliable, punctual, responsible, and dedicated to quality work;
● Have strict adherence to safe working practices;
● Have a serious work ethic, cool demeanor, and keen ambition;
● Be a reliable team player with the ability to efficiently plan a job, lead a crew and provide basic mentorship for crew members in support roles;
● Adhere to the HTCs company code of ethics and carefully follow the Policies & Procedures Manual and safety protocol.

Branch Manager/ crew chief:

● Be responsible for providing leadership to a crew of less experienced professionals with respect to safety, execution of work orders and productivity;
● Act as a single point of contact for customers and upper management as per the specific job site directive;
● Take responsibility for the quality of the service provided with close attention to detail;
● Be highly knowledgeable of tree risk assessment and onsite hazard reduction;
● Have a serious work ethic, cool demeanor, and keen ambition;
● Adhere to the HTCs company code of ethics and carefully follow the Policies & Procedures Manual and safety protocol;
● Have a clean drivers license.

Estimators:

● Minimum 3 years of tree care experience with the ability to estimate, organize and provide high-level customer care for a variety of tree services ranging from pruning, removals, plant health care treatments, soil remediation, planting, etc.;
● ISA Certified Arborist or industry equivalent with formal arboriculture/forestry training;
● ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification preferred;
● Familiarity with relevant GTA tree protection bylaws;
● Experience preparing general / construction arborist reports an asset;
● Adhere to the HTCs company code of ethics and carefully follow the Policies & Procedures Manual and safety protocol;
● Have a clean drivers license.
