This workshop is now FULL!
Join the Tree Trust Friday July 14 for their annual one-day arborist workshop focused on practical knowledge about mature tree care: Join Todd Irvine, Ian Bruce and Tobias Effinger for a discussion on pruning and a tree tour!
In the morning Todd Irvine and Ian Bruce will discuss "The Fundamentals of Pruning Mature Trees": This talk will explore how to increase a tree’s longevity by pruning for health and structural integrity using techniques such as crown reduction. The talk will focus primarily on pruning, but will also touch on other aspects of mature tree care.  Todd will share case studies from his 20+ years working with mature trees at Bruce Tree. There will be lots of opportunity for discussion and participants are encouraged to share their own experiences from the field.
In the afternoon Tobias Effinger will lead a tree tour walk-about at Woodlawn Memorial Park to look at big old trees and explore topics discussed in the morning session, including issues threatening their health, structural integrity and longevity, and specific tree care practices to improve these conditions. There will be lots of time for collaborative interaction and shared experiences of participants. The event is sponsored by Eloquip Ltd.

Cost is $175 (includes coffee and lunch). CEUs are available.
