About ISA Ontario

ISA (the International Society of Arboriculture) is a worldwide credentialing organization for arborists. ISA Ontario is the component chapter for ISA in the province. ISA enjoys a rich heritage as a scientific and educational organization with a primary mission to disseminate information and knowledge in the care and preservation of trees.

ISA Ontario is a not-for-profit governed by a volunteer board of directors. We also have a number of volunteer committees which help us achieve our mission. We administer ISA programs in Ontario, and are also involved in other regional initiatives with local partners.

ISA Ontario has over 1200 members. There are just over 24,000 members of ISA International, divided into almost 55 chapters and associate organizations worldwide—the world’s largest such organization.

There are currently over 1700 ISA Certified Arborists in Ontario and more than 34,000 worldwide.
