Lindsay Landscape began as a one-man operation providing lawn-cutting services to local residents in the Alta Vista neighbourhood. What We Offer**
As a member of our professional workforce we offer a wide range of training to our staff. This training includes not only mandatory on-the-job safety training but also a variety of courses and options including licensing and training. This includes equipment training, education programs such as apprenticeships, licensing courses (DZ training and sprayer licenses).

Education/Assets/Other:

Job Details**
The Arborist Supervisor/Estimator will be responsible for managing Lindsay Landscape's Tree Care services. These duties will include sales and estimating, equipment maintenance, training and supervising staff, and pruning and removing trees. Duties will include:

  • Being responsible for the development of new business and long term customer relationships. Ensuring customer satisfaction;
  • Estimating costs and pricing jobs and ensuring that contracts are budgeted correctly;
  • Offering consults, proper species identification, assessment, diagnosis, and a plan of action to meet the client's need and budget;
  • Diagnosing and recommending treatments for insects, disease, and cultural problems of trees;
  • Daily tree care operations including pruning, removals, stump grinding, and driving;
  • Inspecting, assessing, and maintaining the health of trees and shrubs;
  • Training and supervising employees as well as scheduling, recruiting, and maintaining safety practices.

Skills should include knowledge of trees and shrubs, as well as the following key items:

  • Working at Heights and experience associated with relevant safety issues;
  • Performing basic maintenance on a variety of trucks, equipment and power tools, including chainsaws and wood chippers;
  • Advanced climbing skills and competent operation of chainsaws, chippers, grinders and other machinery;
  • Cabling experience and knowledge of hardware and system installations;
  • Experience with handsaws and pole pruners/saws from the tree and from the ground.
