Description/Summary:

We are a full-service tree care company, offering a wide variety of services such as: pruning, tree removal/stump grinding, cabling & bracing, consultations, health assessments, planting, and plant health care. We are covered by general liability insurance and WSIB. 

Central Tree Care is currently seeking candidates to fill the following permanent full-time positions:
1.    Sales Associate;
2.    Planting Manager;
3.    Lead Climber.

Qualifications:

1. Sales Associate

  • Certified Arborist – ISA, ASCA, or RFT;
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience;
  • Excellent understanding of logistics and site management;
  • Valid “G” driver’s license with clean abstract.

2.  Planting Manager

  • Certified Arborist – ISA, ASCA, or RFT;
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience;
  • Excellent understanding of trees and shrubs – their biology, habits, and identification;
  • Valid “G” driver’s license with clean abstract.

3.  Lead Climber / Crew Leader

  • Certified Arborist – ISA, OQA, Humber, Sir Sandford Fleming;
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience;
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills;
  • Commitment to safe work practices and habits;
  • Valid “G” license with clean abstract required - D-Z license an asset.
Education/Assets/Other:

List of Duties:

1. Sales Associate

  • Communicate with existing clients and potential clients;
  • Prepare estimates;
  • Diagnose tree issues and recommend treatment;
  • Communicate special job instruction to crews;
  • Co-ordinate with client and management for scheduling of approved work.

2.  Planting Manager

  • Communicate with existing clients and potential clients;
  • Prepare estimates for planting;
  • Co-ordinate the ordering, selecting, and delivery of nursery stock;
  • Co-ordinate with client and management for scheduling of approved planting work.

3.  Lead Climber / Crew Leader

  • Preparing his/her team for the work day and ensure that they have all necessary tools to complete the day’s job;
  • Ensuring time is used efficiently i.e. the crew departs on time and works efficiently on site;
  • Ascend and maneuver through a tree in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Ensuring work is conducted safely in a well calculated manner;
  • Communication – being able to speak in an articulate and polite manner when speaking with customers, and other employees;
  • Encourage learning amongst crew about techniques for climbing, pruning, rigging, and removals.
